Steigenberger Hotel

The famous five-star hotel in southern Germany is being refurbished and modernised until end of 2020. The historic group of buildings is planned as a high class resort- and business hotel which includes around 120 rooms, several conference rooms, a beauty- and spa area as well as gastronomy. The total size of the whole complex is about 3.000 square meters and some parts will be restored while others will be built up completely new. The combination of historical and modern buildings was a special challenge for the requirements to the system engineering. Areas with historic ceilings, cavities or suspended ceilings and the wooden attic brought different approaches to the fire protection system. Next to the rooms and all public spaces the FOGTEC system protects gastronomy-areas, kitchens and technical rooms also.
