Research Project SUVEREN2use (2022-2026)

Within the SUVEREN2use research project, fire protection solutions were being developed for all areas of the lithium-ion battery value chain.
These include:

• cell and battery production and storage
• integration into vehicles
• use in stationary energy storage systems
• recycling, remanufacturing for second-life applications and disposal

Furthermore, a battery-integrated extinguishing system was to be developed for use in large vehicles such as trucks, buses and trains as well as energy storage systems. The development of emergency concepts for batteries, electric vehicles and other large devices was another focus of the project.
