Research Project SUVEREN2use (since the end of 2022)

Within the SUVEREN2use research project, fire protection solutions are being developed for all areas of the lithium-ion battery value chain. These include cell and battery production, storage, integration into vehicles, use in stationary energy storage systems, recycling, remanufacturing for second-life applications and disposal. Furthermore, a battery-integrated extinguishing system is to be developed for use in large vehicles such as trucks, buses and trains as well as energy storage systems. The development of emergency concepts for batteries, electric vehicles and other large devices is another focus of the project.
