We are pleased to announce the successful delivery of our latest fire protection systems for Stadler’s locomotives, developed on behalf of Trenitalia according to the latest fire protection standards for Italy. Our innovative fire protection systems offer a unique solution that effectively combines fire detection and fire extinguishing. With this holistic approach, we guarantee faster and safer handling of fire hazards.
The most important features of our fire protection systems:
- Latest generation of fire detection technology: our systems are able to detect fires in their early stages and alert you immediately. This enables a rapid response and minimises the risk for everyone involved.
- Automated fire extinguishing: In the event of a fire, our innovative extinguishing systems are activated immediately. These are designed to fight the fire efficiently and in a targeted manner before it can spread.
- Optimised integration: The systems are fully integrated into the locomotives so that they work seamlessly with other safety and control systems to ensure a rapid and coordinated response in the event of an emergency.
The fire protection systems not only fulfil the highest safety standards and SIL2 requirements, but also comply with the latest fire protection standards prescribed for rail transport in Italy and the EU. This ensures that Trenitalia and Stadler always fulfil their obligations in terms of safety and fire prevention.
