Protection of an engine test facility within a high rise building with 72 test cells being supplied by a centralised high-pressure pump unit. Daimler decided for high-pressure water mist as fire protection system since it is safe to operating personnel and limits down-times in case of fires to a minimum. Based on the experience made with this project, Daimler decided to equip all engine test facilities in various Daimler sites with high-pressure water mist.
