High-pressure water mist is the modern, sustainable alternative to conventional fire suppression systems. Compact in design, scalable, and suitable for use throughout the entire data center, these systems offer exceptional versatility.
Among all water mist technologies, high-pressure systems require by far the least amount of water – reducing potential damage while conserving valuable resources.
For over 30 years, FOGTEC has been delivering these systems worldwide, with all components designed and manufactured in Germany.

Gaseous systems are a proven choice for protecting the white space in a data center, but their application beyond that area is limited. For full-site protection, they have to be combined with other technologies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
They are an adequate solution for smaller rooms, while for larger areas it’s worth comparing them with water-based systems to find the most efficient option.
As an alternative to NOVEC 1230, we also offer replacement products using the FK-5-12 agent, as well as nitrogen-based systems.

Why are high-pressure water mist systems suitable for data centers?
They provide efficient cooling, protect sensitive equipment, and suppress fires directly at the source. No room sealing or pressure relief devices are required.
How does the system activate in case of a fire?
Pipes remain dry until a fire is detected twice and the nozzles at the fire location are thermally triggered. This ensures local suppression and minimizes the risk of false activation.
Can one system protect the entire data center?
Yes. A single pump can cover all areas, and in some cases, even multiple buildings. Extensions to technical rooms or energy storage areas are easily possible.
