International Water Mist Conference

The 17th IWMA conference was held during the 25th and 26th of October in Rome. The conference was well attended by more than 140 water mist expert delegates from all over the world. During the conference interesting papers were presented from water mist case studies as well as research projects and fire tests. FOGTEC presented a case study for large scale transformer protection. FOGTEC sponsored the event and had a stand at the conference exhibition. Besides exchange of experience among the water mist community, interesting contacts were generated for future co-operations. The conference was followed by a UL water mist expert meeting where FOGTEC participated as well.

New order from Stadler for RBS

After the supply of fire protection systems for the first 14 RBS NExT vehicles by Stadler, FOGTEC has been awarded again as preferred supplier to deliver the fire protection systems for the 14 new RBS trains. The fire detection system is state of the art technology and is based on the Series 3000+, which has been in use successfully since 2013 in Stadler trains. The fire fighting system with high pressure water mist is nearly the same compared to the former implementation, just minor improvements have been made. This indicates that FOGTEC technology has proved its worth, and also enables a short-term first delivery, which is scheduled for the beginning of 2018.

FOGTEC achieved the CDM SSIP-Accreditation

United Kingdom

FOGTEC is now certified by SSIP – Safety Schemes in Procurement. SSIP facilitates mutual recognition between companies regarding health and safety standards, particularly within the construction industry. It is valid for the whole of the UK and will simplify FOGTEC´s service activities on the island.
